According to officer commanding, senior Superintendent Theriso Thatayotlhe, a sizeable crowd of police officers were tasked in and around the music festival because they had anticipated crime incidents to occur.

“Given that the festival had attracted multitudes of people we had tasked police officers even along the Tlokweng main roads and had patrols in and around the stadium to make sure that revellers are well behaved. We managed to control the crowd whose behaviour was excellent despite a large number of revellers because we have not recorded any serious offences like murder, rape and assault,” he said.

Thatayotlhe stated that they also had a big event that was equally a crowd-puller a church service by Prophet Walter Magaya that was held at Ditshupo Hall and similarly they managed to control the masses.

He stated that the service had a lot of international visitors who had arrived at the venue early in the morning but they had enough police officers to make sure they were safe.

“Both events went well despite the large numbers of revellers and I would like to thank revellers for their excellent behaviour,” Thatayotlhe said.
