Vee’s substitute dancer releases new single

The song features Nicolas Morupise of Emjoe Records and local gospel singer Kabo Taelo. In an interview with Art and culture, Detective Mjein said the song is a splash song with a touch of gospel melodies.

He said the song has received a lot of love from people through social media. Many are sharing it on Facebook and using it in their WhatsApp status. Speaking about his music journey, Detective Mjein said he started his music career back in 2006 through a single track titled Skim sa zwakala, which were produced in under Kiss Production Studio.

He said in 2007 he met his producer of Emjoe Records, Nicolas Morupise and they worked on his six-track album called Bomaditshele. He said in 2021 he then released an 11-track album titled Nomakanjani. Detective Mjein also said prior to the new single, he has in January dropped Ke na le modisa featuring renowned Mbaxanga singer MC Maswe. Detective Mjein said he was happy with his growth in the music industry. “When I first ventured into music it was not easy but through experience I have gained a lot in the industry and I am now rocking the microphone,” he said.

On working as Vee’s substitute dancer, Bomaditshele singer said the started dancing for the sensational mega artist in 2017. He said: “Since our first gig with Vee, he has been inviting us as his substitute dancers when he performs locally.

We danced for the artist during the commemoration of Francistown turning 120 years”. He stated that their last performance was during an event hosted by Letshego office here around February. He said his role model is Vee as he is a generous and visionary leader and believes in nurturing people’s dreams.
