The Zebras legend was making his coaching debut against BDF XI and led his side to a 3-1 loss.He was only announced as Masitaoka new head coach on Wednesday just two days before making his coaching debut with the team. It took just three minutes for the visitors to open the scores as full back, Kabo Ngongorego was afforded some space outside the box.

He took his time from a cleared corner kick attempt and curled one beyond the goalkeeper to give BDF XI the lead. Three minutes later, it could have been 2-0 for BDF but Mbonisi Ncube's shot was deflected for a corner. From the early onslaught by the visitors, Masitaoka then took control of the game with some neat combination of passes. On the quarter hour mark, they had their first sight at goal as Patrick Kaunda headed wide Oabile Makopo's cross. BDF made it 2-0 on the 25th minute.

Ncube's initial shot was parried back into play by the goalkeeper and Oratile Taunyane was there to slot it home. A minute later, Masitaoka pulled one back when Ambrosius Amseb forced his way through the opposition defence and had his shot parried back into Ototeng Dintwa's path. The winger made no mistake and put it into the empty to make it 2-1.

BDF XI held a 2-1 lead at the end of the first half. The tempo of the game slowed down in the second half. The visitors however made it 3-1 on referee's additional minutes as substitute, Godfrey Tauyatsalwa broke with pace to beat advancing goalkeeper to the bottom corner to put the contest away from Masitaoka's reach. "My boys played very well. I can see there is a team here and with time we can be a very good side. Now that there are not many games left, we just need to grind the results and secure our spot in the Premier League in the following games.

The boys are promising that we can win some of these games. They gave me 100% today, yes they were moments that showed we are still lacking behind. It takes time but we will see a way how to short cut to it," Mogaladi said after the game. His counterpart, Letang Kgengwenyane was happy with the win and said his side has eyes on finishing third in this campaign.
