BNF Kweneng region endorses Boko

The regional congress is made up of eight constituencies, which are both Molepolole North and South, Mmakgodi-Gabane, Thamaga-Kumakwane, Lentsweletau-Mmopane, Letlhakeng-Lephephe, Mogoditshane, and Takatokwane. Boko will be challenged by Baatlhodi Molatlhegi in the upcoming elective congress.
The regional congress, which was well attended, also resolved that each constituency must at least register close to 10,000 members. Kweneng regional secretary, Ellson Baeletsi said: "We have agreed that each constituency must set up its office and we have been given up to March 2023 to have done so. The members also requested the party central committee to consider splitting the Kweneng region into two because it is too big and at times the regional committee takes time to visit all constituencies that fall under the region. This is simply because of its broadness. The regional committee must from time to time be able to check party structures and also address any arising matters in the area." He said the congress also resolved that the party central committee must consider early primary elections if possible by the end of 2022.
The regional secretary said early primaries would enable the members to campaign well in time and also to know the challenges of each area and how to resolve problems that may exist. Still, on the matter, the regional chairperson Tebogo Lenao also said one of the key things the region will focus on is the party stability and to ensure that the party is united and that no one is denied his or her rights as a BNF member. "Members must listen to respect their party even if they want certain positions.
It is wrong for members to keep on attacking each other and the party when they want positions. Why can't they campaign and tell members what they believe they would do better without tarnishing the image of the party? How can one represent the party that he or she has already said bad things about? Again as members, we must learn to respect one another and know his/her rights in the party.
Our aim as the region is to make sure that the party performs well in the 2024 general election. All is possible if we are united and cooperative," Lenao said. Some of the newly elected members include chairperson Lenao, vice-chairperson Michael Bagopi, secretary Baeletsi, vice-secretary Malebogo Kauhanda and six additional members.
