Local artists light up MC Ronnie's birthday bash

Big names local artists came out in numbers to join friends and family members and support MC Ronnie on his 38th birthday was on Thursday February 10. Among the performers on the night included Vee Mampeezy, Jeff Matheatau, More Fire Balobi, Oscar Chakabuya, Slizer, Mlesho, Rocking stars and Pakistan to mention just a few.

The festival started on a very low key just past midnight probably because of the low turn out of revelers. However, Oscar Chakabuya picked the tempo with an energetic performance to set the tempo for an exciting evening. The Kwasa kwasa star and his band were just a marvel to watch leaving revelers in awe and asking for more.

Next up on stage was the House Kwasa Lesego ‘Mlesho’ Lefatshe who took over from Oscar Chakabuya. Mlesho performed some of his known hits such as Ba e batla, Ambuya and Tlhomela, much to the excitement of the crowd.

Slizer picked up where Mlesho left off and continued to entertain the crowd with her energetic dancers. The popular Bobonong born artist set the stage ablaze during a 30 minute performance. She left fans asking for more. The musician wowed her fans with some of her hit tracks including kurubele, Lekomba la Slizer and Ha o le monate le mpitse.



Vee Mampeezy did not also disappoint. The Letlhale hitmaker made sure that the handful revelers at the festival got their money’s worth with his thrilling performance.

Although the festival was marred by poor attendance, the artists ensured that MC Ronnie got a well deserved birthday celebration as they all performed their hearts out for their colleague.

MC Ronnie said it was one of the beautiful days of his life, and he enjoyed every moment. He thanked all those who took time to celebrate his birthday with hi.

“It was a special occasion and I enjoyed every bit of it. Thank you to all those that attended the festival,” said MC Ronnie. As a well known kwasa kwasa MC, Mc Ronnie has worked with a number of musicians such as Astley Gops, Alfredo Mos and Franco and Afro Musica.
