Mogale is Mister Africa Continent 2nd runner-up

Against all odds, Mogale who is currently employed at the Botswana Prisons Service, fought with all within his power to put the country on the map. The win comes after he was crowned Mister Africa Continent Botswana last year. He managed to outshine fellow kings from other African countries and made it to top 14 who proceeded to the international pageantry. Mogale did not only walk away with the second runner-up title but also scooped the Best Project award.

He left Botswana on February 6 and later joined other intelligent hunks from African countries. The contestants participated in different activities such as photo shoots, close up interviews with the judges, tourism tour and beach challenge among others.

In an interview with Showtime, Mogale said he was glad to realise his dream adding that it was a privilege for him to have scooped the second runner-up title.

"Scooping second runner-up to me reflects a true definition of intelligence. It really shows that indeed I am what the world is looking for, an Icon for Global Influence. To tell the truth, I was not really prepared, I struggled with sponsorship, I knocked at every organisation, BNYC, Ministry of Tourism, Botswana Tourism, Ministry of Youth, and I was unsuccessful, but only individuals pledged for the success of my trip. I have realised that male pageantry is not taken seriously but only female pageantry get recognition in Botswana. The competition was very tough. From all different African countries, I managed to get to top 14 and ended up at top three. From several interviews, I just gave it my all and that is how I was labeled the most intelligent competitor," he said.

Even though he was disappointed by different organisations and companies that did not sponsor him, that did not discourage him from making his dream come true. He expressed a great disappointment over government departments in charge of nurturing local talent for turning him down. Mogale said being turned down was one of the most devastating moments he ever had in his life. He added that he was told that all the money was given to Miss Botswana by the BTO marketing department.

Apart from Accra win, Mogale is also founder of the Mindful Movement Campaign Organisation. The entity focuses on the mentorship of a boy-child, Gender-Based Violence, mental health issues and lastly community charity through Corporate Social Responsibility. He said he would use his new title to get involved with the community charity projects, mentor young boys in order to combat the narratives associated with the male figures world wide. He also said his project will cover the African continent together with the newly crowned king, Mister Africa Continent from South Africa.

"We have a joint project that we would like to carry out across Africa. I would like to thank Batswana for the continued support. I represented the country very well, did not let them down and now it is time to work. I would even like to bring Miss Botswana on board to join hands together as I have learnt that we have a common project. I would be working around Africa. I can say indeed I am a true definition of a leader," he concluded.
