The winger scored the quickest hattrick this season inside just six minutes. Ii was Security Systems' first win in four games whilst Highlanders returned to losing ways few days after their first victory of the campaign.
Systems were the better side from the first 10 minutes. They created a number of chances early on but could not connect in the final third. Morris Rusivo set up Letlhogonolo Chenjela inside the box whose shot was blocked. On the half hour mark, Kenanao Kgetholetsile opened the scores with a beautifully struck shot to the bottom far post. The Alarm Boys controlled much of the half, however the visitors looked threatening on the break. With a minute to the break, Benson Mangolo shot over the bar as the teams went in to the break with the hosts holding a 1-0 lead.
Five minutes into the second half, Keorapetse Ramakgathi beat his man inside the box but saw his shot saved by the legs of the goalkeeper as Highlanders sought an equaliser early on. It was one way traffic attack from Systems as substitute Ronald Chikomo pulled a save from the goalkeeper on the hour mark. It was 2-0 by the 70th minute as Molefhi scored from the rebound after his initial shot was saved by the goalkeeper. The attacker scored his brace three minutes later as he tapped in Takunda Sadiki's cross. Molefhi completed his hat-trick with a header from Mangolo's cross on the 76th minute. A rare feat for any player to score with both legs and a header in one match. Sadiki completed the glut on the 81st minute as Systems ended their winless streak.
'I am happy for him (Molefhi), the boy has not been that fresh, but he has been working hard and trying hard to impress. I am happy for him, it is not easy for anybody to score particularly when you have not been playing very well so to score a hat-trick I am very happy for him,' Systems' coach Kaelo 'Wire' Kaelo on Molefhi after the game. His counterpart, Kabo Dintwa was lost for words after the heavy defeat. 'Football sometimes is cruel, today your boys play well and win you games. And the next game with the very same players, is like you have done an overhaul,' he said.
