Young Fighters next on Magosi's menu

Magosi are eyeing their third successive victory when they take on Motaung Young Fighters away tomorrow so that they can move further close to the summit of the league table.
They sit at position five with 15 points from nine matches following their 2-0 win over former leaders, Holy Ghost over the weekend. The victory came after another positive result against Mochudi Rovers the previous weekend. Ahead of this weekend First Division clashes, five points separate Chiefs and log leaders, URI Black Forest with the latter currently having accumulated 20 points. The victory over Holy Ghost, who were sitting at the top, is expected to serve as motivation for the former Botswana Premier League champions.
Before they played against Holy Ghost, the latter was oozing confidence and had held the leadership position. Magosi will once again rely on the experience of holding midfielder, Arnold Mampori who was on the score sheet against Holy Ghost. They will also hope that Emmanuel Thabe carries on with his goal-scoring feat. Magosi’s opponents this weekend, Young Fighters are yet to win a single match this season and have conceded a whopping 36 goals in nine games. Last weekend, the new Debswana First Division entrants lost 8-1 to Matebele FC, only a few weeks after they conceded 11 goals against Uniao Flamengo Santos. They are currently rooted at the bottom of the league table with only two points and have scored just five goals in nine matches.
Black Forest, who have since leapfrogged Holy Ghost at the top, host Santos at Black Forest Arena tomorrow. Forest, together with Holy Ghost, Tlokweng United and Matebele, have been fighting for the top position since the beginning of the season. The quartet is occupying the top four positions. Forest go into the match following their 2-1 win over Red Sparks while Santos are coming out of a 1-0 loss to Tlokweng United. A loss to Black Forest could change once again at the top if Holy Ghost return to winning ways against Matebejana. Red Sparks will be home to Matebele while Rovers take on Taung Young Strikers. Broadhurst United, who have hit a slump, host Tlokweng United at SSG Ground in what is expected to be a thrilling encounter.
