Despite being famous and doing well in his career, the young man has explained that he has gone through a lot in life. Young Prince has relocated to South Africa where he is an actor and singer. He appeared in different renowned TV soapies as a supporting act.

He said he had been assaulted, abused and bullied by his uncle. Young Prince also noted that there was a lot that happened to him during his childhood. He said whenever he thought about it, it triggered trauma leading to depression. “I started having depression when I was about 15-years-old. I have been battling depression for 10 years. I have a therapist and life coach who has been giving me advice and guidance. She is like a mother to me and she really understands me. There are a lot of people that supported me through this depression journey like my mother Edith Moabi, Boity Thulo, Thabo Mosima among others,” he said.

Young Prince also explained that when depression kicks in, he feels different emotions like being sad, numb, empty and broken. In an attempt to avoid relapse or mental breakdown, he said he tries by all means not to stress too much. However, he revealed that he used to take pills that helped him to calm down and this lead to addiction, no wonder he had to stop.

Furthermore, he added that he listens to music and watches some TV series to keep himself busy. He added that he also meditates. Moreover, Young Prince said he was working on a new collection of Young Prince brand such as juice, body lotion, roll-on and shooting Netflix series together with his reality show. “The advice I can give young people who are facing challenges as me is that they should keep their heads up because it is not easy. They must have faith that everything will work out. I want to tell people that are going through depression and anxiety that it is okay to be sad and vulnerable. It is okay to feel the way you feel. You matter and take it easy because everything will work out for you soon,” he advised.
