Andansonia Hotel director implicated in conspiracy to murder

According to the charge sheet, Joy and Brown between July 2021 and January 2022, acting jointly and in concert conspired to kill Keletso Mengwe, Isabel Mengwe and Kevin Mengwe at Selepa.

When the accused appeared before Chief Magistrate Mareledi Dipate on Monday, their attorney Maliki Mmohe applied without success for the duo to be not remanded in custody.

Since the case is at infancy stage, it is not clear why Joy, an Indian and Brown, a Zimbabwean, tried to murder the complainants.

Magistrate Dipate remanded the accused in custody until January 31, 2022 for status update after prosecutor kefilwe Jeremiah from the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) applied for their remand in custody because investigations in the matter were still fresh.
