Sefhare Man Rapes His Granny

The incident occurred at Mononyane ward in Sefhare village in a compound where both the victim and the suspect reside. The lad allegedly attacked his mother’s aunt whilst sleeping alone in her bedroom late at night and raped her.

Machaneng acting station commander, Assistant Superintendent Anastacia Mogale confirmed the sexual assault case.

Mogale stated that the suspect has since been arrested and charged with a single count of rape.

“The suspect is currently in custody and was recently arraigned before Mahalapye Magistrate’s Court,” Mogale said.

“He allegedly returned home at night, found his family members sleeping and went to his grandmother’s house, opened it, attacked and raped her. His grandmother identified him and reported the matter to the police after to the ordeal.”

Furthermore, she said the old woman was then taken to hospital for medical assistance. Mogale implored the youth to respect elders.
