Rollers Maul Toothless Lions

The visitors only managed to get a single shot on target throughout the entire match. From the first minute, Popa looked comfortable stringing a couple of passes to try and open the opposition defence. On the sixth minute, Phenyo Serameng saw his effort go over the bar. Two minutes later, Serameng had another chance and shot straight into the goalkeeper's hands. The home side continued to enjoy a lion's share of the ball possession and on the 17th minute, Segolame Boy's half volley was blocked by the defence for a corner.
From the corner, Mosha Gaolaolwe found himself unmarked at the far post but shot over the crossbar. Popa once again got close on the 21st minute as Kago Monyake set up Gaolaolwe from a free kick but the centre back's header missed the target by a whisker. Rollers eventually broke the deadlock when Gaolaolwe headed yet another finely taken free kick by Monyake on the 33rd minute. Rollers went into half time dominating proceedings as Lions only managed a single shot at goal in the first 45 minutes.
Just four minutes into the second half, Monyake doubled Rollers' lead with a tap-in from Boy's cross. Boy made it 3-0 from Edwin Moalosi's pass. Lions' best chance of the game came on the 63rd minute as substitute Legend Monyake tried to pounce on Onkarabile Ratanang back pass, with the goalkeeper beaten but Simisane Mathumo was in the goal line to clear. On the other end, Lesego Moitse had to deal with Serameng and Tlhalefo Molebatsi's efforts and both were parried away for corner kicks. Substitute, Bame Morwalela hit the cross bar on the 80th minute.
And a minute later Boy bagged his brace with a tapped in goal from Lobopo Moremi's cross. “We are still dealing with many injuries upfront. We only have Bame who is the only pure striker. Being able to create animations offensively and scoring four goals, I am very proud of the boys. But as I always say, we are trying to improve each and every game and what we did is good and we are trying to do better next game,” Rollers’ coach Romain Folz said. His counterpart, Paradzanyi Madivenga bemoaned lack of quality in his side and said the team is trying to come up with combinations.
