Supplementary voter registration commences
It is done to give an opportunity to those who had not registered for the 2019 general election.
According to acting IEC spokesperson Idah Seoforeng, supplementary registration helps or give an opportunity to those who had registered but do not have a valid entry in the roll for whatever reason and those who turned 18 years of age after the cut-off date of April 28, 2019.
“However, transfers of voter registration, in accordance with section 25 of the Electoral Act, may be applied for, from the onset of the period mentioned above,” Seoforeng said.
