King Monada,Prince Benza to perform at Baisago

With the festive mood already activated and so many music concerts having already booked some of the trending artists, organisers of the festival dubbed ‘Gaborone Shutdown Party’ have revealed that it was about time someone book King Monada and Prince Benza to perform in Botswana.
Morena Size representative and musician Mingo Touch told Showbiz in an interview that this would be Morena Size’s first ever event and the intention is to leave a huge impression no wonder they chose King Monada and Prince Benza as the headliners. “King Monada has a lot of hits but he rarely gets to perform in Botswana and the last time he performed here was years back. We also saw it fit to bring Prince Benza because he has been making waves with his music and he has also worked a lot with Makhadzi recently,” he revealed. The former kid sensation further revealed that he will perform on the night alongside other local acts like ATI, Vee Mampeezy, DJ KSB just to name but a few.
He said they will start setting up the sound on Thursday and people can come early on Friday. Mingo Touch said with a lot of security hitches ruining so many events and jeopardising patrons’ lives recently, as organisers they have spoken at length about the issue of security. “We will do our best to ensure the safety of our patrons and their property.”
The Tshaba tsotsi hitmaker said Morena Size is a company that aims to bring together international acts with local ones to grow the music industry in Botswana. “We want to create a platform for collaborations and networking,” he said. Mingo Touch said the company was established this year therefore. Tickets are sold at Spar outlets across the country. He said after this show the aim is to organise more shows and give upcoming artists who never get booked a chance to shine. Early bird tickets cost P150, standard ticket costs P200 while VIP is sold at P800.
