Masitaoka will now face Gaborone United (GU) in what promises to be a exciting encounter.

As expected, Rollers took the charge of the game in the early minutes. Edwin Moalosi who was deployed as a false number nine looked very lively, but could not trouble Masitaoka goalkeeper. The opposition adopted a defensive approach and looked threatening on the counter attacks.

The approach paid dividends as against the run of play, Patrick Kaunda squeezed the ball through Keeagile Kgosipula’s legs to give his side the lead in the 23rd minute. The team, however, had to deal with an injury blow as Fortune Thulare was forced out of the game. The defender was replaced by Kakanyo Kethubile 20 minutes into the game. With a goal down, Popa looked for resurgence and Tlhalefo Molebatsi saw his effort go over the bar on the half hour mark. Minutes later, Rollers came close again, this time through Segolame Boy’s but Majatlhaga managed to take the goal lead into the half time break.

Masitaoka with a goal ahead looked assured at the start of the second half. Kaunda saw his effort easily collected by Kgosipula early into the half. Rollers put in Aaron Marc Dion in place of Moalosi.

The change gave Popa an extra ounce of energy upfront but they failed to break the opposition defence. Once again, against the run of play, Kaunda on the break beat on rushing Kgosipula to the far post to double his side’s lead on the 75th minute. However, Popa pulled one back four minutes after a scramble in the box. Majatlhaga kept the goal lead to advance to the final.
