“Fellow citizens, I am short of words to express my most sincere gratitude and appreciation for the overwhelming messages of goodwill, support, encouragement and your prayers that I have received from you, Batswana.

I am also receiving the same expressions of goodwill and support from Batswana outside the country as well as nationals of foreign countries.

Rest assured that, I am not in exile, never.

Once I have completed my round of consultations and meetings I will be returning. I intend that to be sooner rather than later.

In the meantime, let us also pray for a quick end to the crisis our country has been plunged into. Pula!”
