Real name Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhoa, Makhadzi recently headlined a successful music festival in Gaborone. All roads will lead to Obert Itani Chilume Sports Complex to witness the highly anticipated Northern show of the year as South African music and dance self-proclaimed African queen Makhadzi will be making her debut performance in the second city. When speaking about the show, Seagile said the Limpopo-born artist will land on the Ghetto soil prior to the event on a Thursday.

He said the double platinum queen holder and Energy singer is expected to tour the city as part of their event tourism initiative through meet and greet with her fans. He revealed that Makhadzi’s song featuring their very own, Vee, ‘Beke le Beke‘s music video will be shot here. “This was a deliberate move in order to promote the city of Francistown. As we are all aware, Makhadzi’s fan base increases on a daily basis and if her video is shot here, the second city will benefit,” Seagile said.

He further stated that just recently, each and every song on Makhadzi’ s 21-tracked new album has earned her double platinum which shows her popularity status and how her presence here will have an impact on the second city. He also shared that the show will be a full package as renowned entertainer, Zodwa Wa Bantu, will also make her first appearance alongside performances by local heavy weights such as Vee Mampeezy, La Timmy, DJ Gouviea and Amantle Brown. Ghetto-based artists, MC Maswe and the beauty queens, Tjilenjetje Ngwao and others are also expected to thrill the multitudes of revelers during the festival.

According to Seagile, close to 1000 people will be employed for the mega event. He also indicated that security will be tight as they will be engaging with the police and private security companies to come up with a floor plan for the mega event. He said they are going to beef up security by engaging a drone, horses and a scanner to detect weapons at the entrance. For his part, Itekeng councillor Lesego Kwambala said both Makhadzi and Zodwa Wa Bantu are crowd pullers hence the event will attract a lot of people to the second city.

He said this will be the biggest event and will create business opportunities for Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs) and companies through accommodation, food and merchandise and vending just to mention. Makhadzi Live in Ghetto will be sponsored by Diggers Inn, Fours, Adventure Smokehouse Lifestyle and other companies.
