The three-year-old girl and her one-year-old brother were found dead by their grandmother, who had rushed outside, after hearing screams from her daughter. District Criminal Investigation Department (CID) officer, detective superintendent Obert Stone told The Monitor the suspect was arrested at Tsebanana lands in the outskirts of Tsetsebjwe village on Saturday and that he will be arraigned for murder before the Bobonong Magistrate's Court today (Monday). The suspect, who fled the scene the night of the double murder, had been visiting his girlfriend.

He allegedly found his girlfriend sleeping with her mother and her two children and requested to see her for a talk. While out talking, the children's grandmother heard her daughter screaming for help. Rushing to the scene outside the house to check what was happening, the grandmother saw her daughter running for dear life away from the boyfriend. She charged after her fleeing daughter, but abandoned the pursuit only to return to find the lifeless bodies of her grandchildren.
