Lenyaola releases new Afro jazz album

 

Dibeng sa lorato consists of tracks like Thakayapeo, Moshupa, Tears, Bo Shosho, Mmago Thabo, Bo Baby, Rramasedi, Malome and Sponono.

Lenyaola told Arts & Culture in an interview that the album theme is centered on love and the challenges people face in life. Before releasing the album, the 30 year-old-young man from Moshupa released his first single during the first lockdown in 2020. “The song was called Emisa Corona which was basically talking teaching people how to adhere to COVID-19 protocols,” he added.

The Afro jazz artist also said although he is new in the industry, he has had the pleasure of working with veterans like Thabang Garogwe, Kabelo Tiro also known as Skavenja, StarLuu, Socca Moruakgomo, Pres(Lesotho) and Quincy K (SA).

“I also performed at Hamptons Jazz Festival, African Attire on Fleek, Mascom Live sessions, Millennium Jazz Restaurant. I found an opportunity to share a stage with Johnny Mokhali at millennium Jazz. I also shared a stage with Lizibo, Vee Mampeezy, Nono Siile, Women of Jazz and other international artists like Billy Ocean (USA) Ntando, Ringo, Zahara, Amanda Black, Sipho Hotstix Mabusa, Mafikizolo (SA),” he highlighted. Lenyaola further said he will perform at Leteise on Fleek this coming Saturday and Bush Farm Sundays later this month.
