Gin lovers from across the country were spoilt for choice as they had the chance to meet the people behind their favourite premium and craft gin brands. Gin brands on the day included Beefeater, Imagin, Gordons, Musgrave, 4Gin, Hendrick’s, Six Dogs and Inverroche, just to name but a few.
It was also great to see bartenders, mixologists, owners and the hospitality industry taking part, especially after what the global hospitality industry has been through. With the country still not over the worst of the global pandemic, it was amazing to see people finally getting together and giving themselves over to the pleasures of a good gin experience. It was also a great way to break the ice with new acquaintances.
This was a chance for attendees to create moments well-suited for Instagram or TikTok.
With the festive season fast approaching, it was a perfect time to explore new tastes and new pairings. It was a sold out event so both old and new gin distillers united to take ticket holders on the ultimate gin adventure. With a limited-edition souvenir glass and 10 gin tasting coupons to sample the finest gin spirits on the market, patrons enjoyed tasting samples with a choice of various gins and spirits. They got the chance to taste a range of artisan gins and complimenting tonics.
The flavour profiles of most gins on the day were developed to work well with tonic. The mixologists knew their job as well because they gave gin lovers a chance to explore how different tonic flavours, and colours, work with the different gins. The day saw a number of gin brands open their distilleries and provide a platform for the gin community and consumers to get stimulating, bright and aromatic gins.
There was also entertainment from various DJs on the day. No other gin tasting event brings together the wonderful world of craft gin and spirits in quite the same way, so this was most certainly the gin festival for them. The popularity of gin has gone through the roof in recent years, with many new independent and well-known favourites coming to market with new and unique flavour twists.
