Slow Wizzy drops Happiness

While most of his peers in the music industry are still struggling with the effects of the long entertainment blackout due to COVID-19 restrictions, Slow Wizzy has something to smile about.
He recently became the winner of the #mysimmerlive competition, going away with a restaurant and stock to kick-start up business. During the competition, he battled against locals and Zimbabwean artists. Just before winning the competition in September, Slow Wizzy got married to her long time girlfriend. Now, fresh from enjoying the honeymoon, the talented singer who is also a professional barber has released Happiness. The song is just a dedication to how things have penned out for him under a difficult period marred by COVID-19.
“After my previous song Chakachaka featuring Captain Dira, I announced that I will be getting married and it happened. And I also became the winner of #mysimmerlive competition with the Chakachaka song. Things were really happening for me, so I decided to hit the studio and release Happiness just to express how happy I am about the progress I made this year,” Slow Wizzy explained to Arts & Culture.
He added that the song is also a call to people to forget their problems and think about all the good things they have had. Although the same has the same afro-dance touch, this time around he has added a bit of guitar melody to make it fresh and appealing. The song is produced by Emjoe and features Damesh. The song was recorded at Touch records by Uncle Touch.
Meanwhile, Slow Wizzy has complained by the lack of support from local broadcasters and promoters who snub them for bookings. He said while he always gets complimented for releasing good and quality music, it is the amount of airplay his music gets is disappointing. However, he appreciated those who have never given up on him as an artist. “Let me thank every one who has supported me. I know my time will come for me to be recognised, and ill grab it. For now I want to keep releasing good music,” he added.
