BCPI releases a song on corruption

The single is intended to inspire Batswana to take a strong stand against the lack of accountability in the country and to pave a way forward for transparency.
Radiating a smooth ballad feel, the song is a deliberate call to awaken in people the realities of their communities and the corruption that has ensued in them. Making a grand entrance as one of the initiatives the organisation is spearheading to merge artistic expressions with social commentary on corruption, the song is part of a series that will offer various channels for Batswana to contribute in this conversation.
“We made this track in our quest to raise awareness about the importance of fighting corruption. It is a song that reminds our countrymen of their role in leadership, which should be progressive and beneficial for all, and it also speaks on what the cost of corruption will be if we do not act or speak up. It encourages transparency, good will and for us to be reflective about where our country sits in this area. We have to come together and advance our country,” says founder of BCPI, Pusetso Morapedi.
Written by Eugene Jackson, the lyrics are poise and provoke a sense of active participation rooted in change by citizens.
