The Tinto hitmaker managed to win the Best Newcomer award at the BOMU awards but this will even be a tougher one for Motsetserepa because he is nominated in the best international act category alongside American music giants such as Drake and Kanye West. The Best International Act is a category which was introduced this year to celebrate the 10th edition of the event alongside another new category, Artist of the Decade.

After a successful run last year, SAHHAs returns with what has been dubbed as "The Manifesto" which is the theme for this year. The show will boast a number of appearances, live performances and tributes by today’s leading musicians within the Hip Hop culture and will be aired on SABC 1 on December 4, 2021.

SAHHAs is the year's biggest celebration of hip hop on the African continent and this year is no different as it will showcase those who stood above the rest with their artistic innovation and further defined their careers through what has been the toughest year for artists all across the globe. Motsetserepa is one of the nominees who were selected from more than 2,000 submissions across 24 categories. Voting opened on Wednesday and will close on Friday, November 26, 2021.

Motsetserepa’s debut album Willian catapulted him to music success specifically his video Tinto which broke the Internet when it was released last year. The artist, whose real name is Bofelo William Molebatsi, is one of the most followed public figure on social media in Botswana with over two million followers. Motseretserepa has been working between SA and Botswana to push his brand. He recently released amazing visuals of his song titled Heavenly Sent featuring Mpho Sebina.

Even though he has not won a Grammy, Motsetserepa’s video is a concept depicting his performance after winning a Grammy which is the international music industry's highest honour. Thanks to the video clip of Motsetserepa singing American megastar Chris Brown’s "Don't Wake Me Up" last year, the comedian and rapper spread across social media and catapulted him to international stardom.
