BFL push for players’ jab before league start

The league is supposed to start next week Friday, but the decision to ensure those involved are vaccinated might see delayed resumption. “Our immediate priority as the board is to vaccinate all our players and technical bench before we can engage in competitive football. So we are working tirelessly to achieve such,” Zakhem said yesterday.
He could not be drawn to discuss the league schedule, saying further details will be announced on Saturday. “Unfortunately, I am not able to answer this question at this moment in time. However, we will do an official announcement on Saturday afternoon,” Zakhem said when asked about the league’s start date.

Botswana Television could be at the front of the queue as there were reports a P5 million per season deal had been agreed around June. However, the BFL is looking for a broadcaster with a strong online platform presence.
