Moletemane Teachers' Love Triangle Ends Tragically

The district Crime Investigation Department (CID) officer, detective Superintendent Obert Stone confirmed that he was investigating the case.

"We have arrested the Moletemane Primary School male teacher for allegedly shooting his ex- girlfriend's lover to death and in the process injuring his former girlfriend who is also a colleague. We do not know what transpired and the status of their relationship as yet but there are rumours abound that the teachers, who were once lovers, were no longer dating," Stone said.

Stone added that it is alleged that on Friday the female teacher, together with her friends, visited her new lover at Tsetsejwe village and later that night decided to return to her abode (with her new lover) to Moletemane village, something that irked the former boyfriend. The police officer said on Saturday early morning, the former boyfriend went to his ex-girlfriend's house. He attacked the new couple, as gunshots were heard.

"The new boyfriend was shot dead on the spot with the female teacher sustaining gunshot wounds. She was rushed to Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital where she is still fighting for her life. The suspect is currently in police custody and is likely to appear today (Monday) before Bobonong Magistrate's Court to face two counts, one of murder and the other of attempted murder," Stone said.
