The offer is extended to all new private students for the 2021 New Academic Year, as well as put in place flexible payment structures. Speaking at the 2021 Media Reception On New Development, the university’s head of finance Lenah Kelepile explained that the decision came about as a solution to assist international students and individuals who have a shortfall of meeting qualifying points for government sponsorship.

This is in order to lessen the burden on parents who have to sponsor their children from the pocket. “At Limkokwing University we provide a unique learning experience, which is specifically designed to equip learners with skills and knowledge to engage in the process of creativity, innovation and transformation,” Kelepile said. She further said: “We understand the legitimate student concerns about the affordability of university education.

At the same time, we need to ensure that those who cannot afford to pay will be allowed to access higher education even if they come from underprivileged and working-class families". She, however, explained that all the payment structures apply to students who are enrolled for Associate Bachelor Degree programmes only.

Limkokwing also has scholarships for their alumni who wish to progress from Associate Degrees to Degree programmes. “Our immediate and pressing task is to ensure that as we continue to improve access to higher education and strengthen the quality of learning and teaching. We also have Certificate programmes at only P15,000 for a year, which is much cheaper than annual fees for most private primary schools in the country,” Kelepile said.

Limkokwing also launched part-time and new short courses, which include Customer Care, Effective Organisational Communication Skills, Supervisory Skills, Logistics Management, Investigative Reporting, Elementary English, Intermediate English, Event Décor and Design, Computer Aided Design (Solid Works), Garment Sewing, End User Computing, Intermediate Excel and International Computer Driving License (ICDL).
