Mosweu drills models

“We discussed the spirit of creativity, types of modeling, how models should dress, walk, posture, diet, physical education, personality development, runaway techniques, skin and hair care. We also discussed steps for one to become a successful model and skills needed like the ability to embrace rejection,” Mosweu told Arts & Culture after the event.

Mosweu added that they also did a practical training where models were taught how to walk for different modeling competitions and beauty pageants. “I did achieve what I wanted from the event. I wanted the models to leave the place motivated, inspired and fired up to go kick the industry and it did happen. At the end of the event, most of them shed tears of happiness. They were emotional and so excited to start this journey with me,” she further indicated. She said after the successful workshop, it doesn’t mean it was a one-time event but rather it was just the beginning of a great move. She said all aspiring models who showed up will be offered free training and classes.

“Not only that, I will be signing them under my agency and help them find opportunities internationally. I already sent a few applications for them to New York Fashion Week. We will be working together bringing a change and revival to the modeling industry in our country,” she highlighted.

Mosweu also said anyone who is interested to join them can establish contact. She said they will be hosting fashion shows where upcoming designers will be invited to bring their clothes for a showcase. She said soon they will be bringing young gals under the age of 18 into the agency. She said she had realised that there is a lot that is not known in modeling industry locally.

“We are only taught how to walk and do few projects. But that is just a tip of an iceberg because for one to be an international model, it takes more than just a smile, walk and answering of questions. This event equipped young ladies with knowledge and skills about modeling,” she concluded.
