Sebina to perform at inaugural SA Amapiano awards

Sebina, who has been making hits between Botswana and SA will share the stage with some of the best players in the game. Amapiano is a subgenre which has taken over the music industry and the world by storm. Amapiano artists will be recognised with an award show that focuses on them and their sound.
Major League DJz’ hit Dinaledi which Mpho Sebina was featured in has managed to get three nominations at these awards being Best Amapiano Produced Song, Amapiano Song of the Year and Best Amapiano Music Video. The awards will highlight notable achievers within this fashionable genre and if Dinaledi goes on to win, Sebina would be proud to have been part of the big act.
In a recent interview with Arts & Culture Sebina admitted that Amapiano has been a great platform to collaborate and experiment with other artists. After Dinaledishe has since been featured in Abidoza’s Motho ke motho hit.
The versatile artist revealed that her fans should expect more experiments from her and not just in the Amapiano space. Before being announced as a performer at the SA Amapiano awards, Sebina performed in the second episode of Major League’s Youtube series called Piano City.
The SA Amapiano awards organizers said they came up with these awards because they believe Amapiano artists have been responsible for a whole culture shift and deserve more recognition and more acknowledgements on an overall industry level. Sebina has also been nominated at the Yarona FM awards (YAMAS) under the best female single category.
