Miss Botswana unveils Top 30 contestants

“The beautiful ladies were selected from 72 audition entries. The auditions were conducted online, a process prompted by the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic. After a thorough selection process, within the pageant requirements, and before a panel of five judges, top 30 ladies emerged. The beautiful entrants hail from 48 locations across Botswana,” DAI revealed in a press statement.
DAI also disclosed that plans are underway for the pageant’s Fashion Show.
Furthermore, the organisers said Miss Botswana 2021 will be crowned next month following a careful selection process, rigorous training and immaculate judging. Voting has already begun and the public has been given the opportunity to help their favourite contestant secure a spot in the next phase of the competition through votes.
“Your vote therefore will secure them a spot on the Top 16 stage that will place them to compete at the finale. To vote, send the contestant’s number (i.e MB38) to 17272 on any mobile network in Botswana. SMS costs P2.00, ” said the organisers. This year’s Miss Botswana theme is, ‘Unearthing A New Jewel’ and this year’s Miss Botswana journey will be documented with a 13-episode docuseries. DAI recently revealed that they have partnered with new car dealer, Magariland which will see this year’s queen walking away with a Mercedes Benz C200 car. Meanwhile, Miss Botswana 2019 Oweditse Phirinyane has been the longest reigning queen and she will finally hand over the crown to one of the 30 contestants next month. The new queen will represent Botswana at the Miss World pageant in Puerto Rico on December 16, 2021.
