Speaking to Mmegionline following their meeting with the Minister of Basic Education and the Manual Workers Union on Friday, Mogwera says they are concerned that the burden of COVID-19 seems to be on only one Ministry, yet the education sector has as many as four ministries; being the basic education ministry, tertiary education ministry, the Local government Ministry, and the Ministry of Productivity and Skills Development.

Mogwera says they have implored on then Minister of Basic Education to engage the other three to pull strategies and resources together to fight covid in the learning environment.

According to Mogwera the Local Government and Rural Development should be helping with provision of sound infrastructure facilities and supplies in schools to ameliorate COVID-19, while the Ministry of Productivity & Skills Development, responsible for brigades and technical colleges should be assisting with issues of compliance among schools and institutions.

Mogwera said they also advised the Minister of Ministry of Basic Education (MOBE) to coalesce with office of the president regarding Centre for the Deaf Institutions for update and consistent customised COVID-19 precaution communications.
