Back in action: Boseja

The Mares will be boosted by the return of goalkeeper, Sedilame Boseja from a lengthy injury lay-off as the women's national team prepares for the Africa Women's Nations Cup (AWCON) finals debut in July.

Boseja's club, Mamelodi Sundowns announced the player's return from injury on their Facebook page. The goalkeeper has been out with a knee injury for over a year. “Guess who’s back to lift more trophies. In football, every comeback is always greater than a setback,” Mamelodi Sundowns posted. Boseja joined Sundowns a year ago but she is yet to make her debut for the team. During her time on the sidelines, she has won the Hollywoodbets Super League and CAF Women’s Champions League medals.

Her return is a boost for the Mares who are preparing for the AWCON finals in Morocco. Boseja has been the team’s first-choice goalkeeper since making her debut as a teenager.
