India Aids Constituency League

The Indian High Commission in Botswana has donated 1,000 soccer balls and 500 soccer nets to be used in the constituency tournaments around the country.

Handing over the donations at the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture in Gaborone on Friday, Indian High Commissioner to Botswana Madhava Chandra said they found it necessary to donate the equipment for further development of sports in Botswana and to reinforce the friendly and cordial relations between the two countries.

"I am sure that this donation of soccer equipment by the government of India will contribute to the development of sports at grassroots level and will be used by the in-school and out of school youth in the constituency competitions," he said.
