Inaugural Matjimansha tournament hailed

The first Matjimansha soccer festival held at Shangano Junior Secondary School in the North East District over the festive season has been hailed as a success.

The tournament attracted eight teams from the villages of Marobela, Tjizwina, Makaleng and Nshakashogwe.

Tournament winners, Nshakashobgwe Young Stars, walked away with P10, 000  after edging Mafungo FC 1-0. The runners up pocketed P7, 500. Marula finished in third position pocketing P5, 000 while Maenje took P2,500 for their forth spot finish. The tournament organiser, Mothusi Jowawa, told Monitor Sport the competition was impressive and teams were competitive.
