The new Township Rollers coach, Mark Harrison has said he wants to return the glory days back to the side after a barren season that saw Popa dramatically fail to defend the league title and lose to Gaborone United in the Mascom Top 8 final.

The 55-year-old Briton said he wants the team to win trophies and be able to compete effectively in Africa. Harrison was announced as Rollers coach on Tuesday afternoon and replaces Zimbabwean, Madinda Ndlovu who left in April.

“When I met (Jagdish) Shah I knew Rollers were the biggest team in Botswana. Looking from outside, I can tell they can win trophies. Shah impressed me. He is a professional in his field. My reason being here is to win the league and be competitive in Africa,” Harrison told Mmegi Sport yesterday.
