Highlanders eye Premier League return

FRANCISTOWN: Top of the log BR Highlanders look set for a Premier League return in the coming season if their performance in the current First Division North (FDN) league season is anything to go by.

 

The Mahalapye outfit is top on the log with 24 points from 11 outings in the first round. The club is followed by Sankoyo Bush Bucks of Maun who have 20 points while Amakhosi FC of Francistown are at position three with 17 points followed by Tonota FC with 15 points.Amakhosi are in their second season in the First Division have been impressive this season after finishing mid-table last season. On the other hand, Tonota FC who were strong relegation candidates for the better part of last season before hitting form have found the going better this season.TASC, who are at position five, have also managed 15 points but are behind Tonota because of an inferior goal difference.
