PALAPYE: Northern zone softball teams will this weekend battle it out here for the last six slots reserved for the region in the Selebi-Phikwe Extravaganza tournament.

The finals of the annual tournament take place in Selebi-Phikwe over the President’s Day holiday.

Seven men’s teams and five sides from the women’s league are expected to battle it out in the eliminators on Saturday and Sunday at Motlakase, Mabogo Junior School and Botswana International University of Science and Technology (BIUST) softball pitches. The top three teams from each category proceed to the finals in Selebi-Phikwe.
