FRANCISTOWN: Northern zone softball powerhouse, Selebi-Phikwe Comets reigned supreme at the launch of the 2016/2017 BoFiNet softball league, while new boys and hosts, Sua Raiders lost all their games.

Comets opened their account with a 9-1 win against former powerhouse, Scramblers and in their second game they narrowly escaped with a 2-1 win against Ghetto Yankees who put up a resilient performance.

The Selebi-Phikwe giants wrapped up their dazzling weekend with a resounding 9-0 win against Raiders. Their women team was less convincing scrapping a single win out of three games. Comets coach, Otsogile Itseng said he will take the results but was less impressed with the overall performances.
