The management committee had docked the Premier League rookies, Sankoyo Bush Bucks 29 points for using Zimbabwean striker, Morris Rudzivo while not properly registered. Sankoyo were initially found guilty by the BFA disciplinary committee before they appealed the matter at the National Appeals Board (NAB).
However, the NAB upheld the BFA DC’s ruling and awarded FC Satmos three points and two goals. Following the NAB’s ruling, the BPL management committee decided to dock Sankoyo 29 points for the games in which they used the player. The decision caused uproar with several Premier League teams distancing themselves from the decision.
