Ayuso continues cycling dominance

Bernado Ayuso continued his dominance of local cycling events when he won the 100km Mascom Cycle Challenge in Gaborone on Sunday.

The cyclist crossed the line in a time of 2:32:37secs with Lulu Telekelo of Jwaneng Club second with a time of 2:33:22secs. Kyle Poppleton of Tsela Riders finished third in 2:33:22secs.

Ayuso told Mmegi Sport after his victory that he was faced with stiff competition due to the high number of cyclists in the race. He said the wind made the race difficult at the beginning, but worked in his favour on his way to the finish line.
