Zimbabwean dies in train accident

A 36-year-old Zimbabwean man has died after the truck he was driving collided with a train at the Kasane level crossing in Broadhurst (Ledumang Gaborone) this Saturday night.

Superintendent Bonosi Molapisi, the station Commander at the Broadhurst Police Station confirmed the incident yesterday. Molapisi however could not reveal more about the accident citing that the matter is still fresh and his office is still investigating what could have caused the accident.

“I can confirm that the accident happened Saturday night. The accident involved a Volvo truck, which was struck by the Train. We are still investigating the matter, it is still fresh at this stage,” he said.
