Zambian man commits suicide by drinking acid

A 52-year-old Zambian man has died after drinking nitric acid, citing that he was overwhelmed by life challenges.

Officer Commanding, Paul Oketsang said the incident that was reported on February 18, 2022 occurred at Lotsane ward in Palapye.

Oketsang said the Zambian national, who was vomiting blood, was rushed to Palapye hospital and later referred to Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital (NRH) where he succumbed to acid poisoning on Saturday.
