Woman stabs alleged rapist

FRANCISTOWN: Tatitown police are investigating a case in which a 24-year-old man was reportedly wounded by a woman he had allegedly raped. Superintendent Tebogo Madisa told Mmegi on Tuesday that the man was stabbed by the woman last week.

He said the man had invited the 22-year-old woman of Kgaphamadi to his house in Area 'W' where he threatened her with a knife and raped her. After the alleged rape, the man is said to have fallen asleep allowing the woman to grab the knife from him. She stabbed him on the shoulder before escaping to the police station.

The man was later arrested and admitted at Nyangabgwe Hospital with a stab wound. He is expected to appear in court soon to face a rape charge.
