A 62-year-old woman has died after a Toyota Wish she was travelling in collided with a Horse and Trailer truck by the GIPS traffic lights in Block 6 on Saturday evening. The fatal accident occurred at around 7:30pm, according to police.

No.13 District Traffic Officer, Superintendent Obonetse Matshego, said the traffic lights were operational at the time of the crash, raising suspicion that one of the drivers may have failed to obey the traffic signals.

“It was a truck, even though it was just a head and was not pulling trailers,” he explained.
