Wanted rape suspect arrested for drug possession

FRANCISTOWN: A 22-year-old rape suspect of Letlhakane village, who has been on the run, has been arrested for drug possession.

According to Letlhakane Police Station commander, Superintendent Michael Maphephu said the young man was arrested on Friday after being found in possession of 12 sachets of a green substance suspected to be dagga.

He said that the suspect was wanted for a different matter of defilement. He shared that the 22-year-old man has been on the run since Thursday after allegedly defiling his 17-year-old friend.
