US Ambassador applauds Thamaga youth

THAMAGA: United States Ambassador to Botswana, Michelle Gavin, has applauded Thamaga youth for their fight against HIV/AIDS and innovation to develop the village.

Speaking at a home based care centre in Thamaga recently, Gavin told the youth who have formed a non-profit organisation, NIX Project that it was remarkable to see driven, enthusiastic and motivated youngsters bringing change to their communities. She noted that they were not only empowering their peers but everyone with information on HIV/AIDS.

She hailed the creativity, energy and focus of the NIX Project team in its fight against the spread of HIV/AIDS and related diseases.
