Union leader claims assault by managers

Botswana Transport and Allied Workers Union (BOTAWU) chairman, Kgomotso Panye claims he was assaulted and threatened with death by Truck Hire management on Friday after he visited their offices.

He said that he was seeking recognition as a representative of the company’s employees.

The haulage company’s managers have denied the claim.
