UK boosts fight against poaching

The Department for International Development (DFID) and the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) have joined forces for the first time in the fight against poaching.

Justine Greening and Owen Paterson have announced today a £10 million (P144,298,000) DFID funded package to support efforts by the United Kingdom (UK) and other countries to tackle illegal trade in wildlife products including rhino horn and elephant ivory. 

The British High Commission in Botswana is delighted about this news, as the UK's efforts in this regard are significant for Botswana as well.
