Ramotswa Police Station commander, Superintendent Keoagile Tau, confirmed to Mmegi Online that they are investigating the harrowing incident that occurred yesterday at the primary school. “It is indeed true that we are investigating an incident that happened yesterday here at Ramotswa where a 23-year-old girl lost her life,” Tau revealed. The superintendent further stated that the heinous crime occurred right before the 23-year-old young woman entered the premises of the primary school. “The 23-year-old was a student teacher on practicals at the primary school and this happened in the public space outside the school just as she was about to enter the gate,” he said.

Acting on a call, Superintendent Tau stated that they rushed to the scene where they managed to apprehend the 26-year-old who is currently in police custody as investigations are at an infant stage. He further highlighted that the 23-year-old student teacher was certified dead upon arrival at the hospital. “The suspect is yet to appear before the courts as investigations into the matter are still ongoing and we are yet to decide when he will appear before the courts,” Tau said.
