Two suspects have been shot dead by the Botswana Police Service (BPS) during an armed robbery of a liquor outlet in Taung near Ramotswa.

Confirming the fatal incident, police Public Relations officer, deputy commissioner Dipheko Motube said four gunmen attacked employees of the liquor store and made away with undisclosed amount of cash and some goods.

Motube said on arrival at the crime scene, the quartet started exchanging fire with the police.
