Two men face murder charge

Monkgogi Johannes, 28, was found lifeless in a pool of blood with stab wounds last Monday at 2am near the bar. Officer commanding, senior superintendent Paul Oketsang, who is on the case said Lebogang Medupi, 30, and Bokamoso Kanje, 29, both of Moatshe ward in Lerala, have been arrested and charged with Johannes’ murder.
Oketsang revealed to have established that the deceased was involved in a misunderstanding with the duo that lead to a fight and one of them ended up hitting him (Johannes) with a quart bottle. “Our preliminary investigations have established that one of the suspects took a piece of [glass from] the broken bottle and stabbed the deceased to death, and escaped the crime scene. Maunatlala police managed to locate and arrest the suspects and were recently arraigned for murder before Palapye Magistrate's Court, facing a single count of murder,” Oketsang said.
